Our People

Ed Heine, Executive Vice President (Surety)

"Each day, I think about how to help at least one client. And it's my aim to always achieve that goal."

In Ed's view, his job is to build and facilitate lasting relationships. That means that before he makes a decision, he considers its impact on the client. It means he's continually supportive of the long-term business plans of those he serves. He strives to act as a client resource for counsel, perspective and general assistance.  And these relationships don't stop with his clients; Ed offers courtesy and respect to all colleagues and fellow community members, and as a manager he strives for fairness and objectivity. Ed is known for his expertise, integrity and thoroughness.

A lifelong commitment to volunteerism has been a key part of Ed's life.  He served in the Peace Corps immediately following his graduation from college, and has been active in several charitable and industry organizations over the years.  Presently, he is President of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Missoula, is an Assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 1911 - Boy Scouts of America, and coaches youth sports.

Ed is a world traveler, having visited all of Central and South America, most of Europe and Canada, and all but a few U.S. states. He lives in Missoula with his wife and two children.
