Meet Ted Fedyk

Your Outdoor Educator Insurance Expert

I want to take a moment to give you a bet¬ter understanding of who I am and where I come from. I am the founder of Payne Financial Group’s Outdoor Educators Insurance Program. Since 2000, we have specialized in cre¬ating custom insurance & safety programs for those who work in the outdoor industry. I’ve helped dozens of organizations with creative, comprehensive insurance packages; spoken at conferences for outdoor educators; and earned the endorsements of leading outdoor associations.

Prior to that I worked as an underwriter, writing insurance polices for Safeco, Chubb and Great American. I hold the highest designation in insurance, the CPCU, and have a certificate in Wilderness First Aid from the NOLS Wilderness Medical Institute.

My wife Tara is from Corpus Christi, Texas, and we have twin boys — Luke and Dylan who are six. We also have two girls Ella who is four and Ashlyn just turned three.

Playing in, and conserving the outdoors is my life's passion and living in Montana affords me ample opportunities to pursue that for myself and for my family. But just as important, through my work with outdoor educator programs and organizations, I’m able to help spread that passion to future generations through the experiences and education my clients provide.
