Payne Financial Group announces retirement of President and CEO William Wrigglesworth Jr.
Brian Donahue promoted to PFG president
January 3, 2012, Helena, Mont. — The board of directors of Payne Financial Group, Inc. announces the retirement of its president and CEO, William “Wriggy” Wrigglesworth Jr., effective December 31, 2011. Wrigglesworth and his wife, Liz, plan to spend more time at their homes in Arizona and Sandpoint, Idaho, and will continue their avid following of their beloved Gonzaga Bulldogs. Wrigglesworth will also continue to serve as a consultant to PFG.
Under Wrigglesworth’s leadership, PFG has grown to a multi-state regional insurance brokerage, ranking in the top 50 privately held brokers as ranked by Business Insurance. “We appreciate all that Wriggy has done for the success of PFG and our clients, colleagues and communities, since our inception in 2001,” said Terry Payne, chairman of PFG.
As part of a regular management succession plan, PFG announced that Brian Donahue, the company’s chief operating officer, will succeed Wrigglesworth as president of the company and as a member of its board.
“Payne Financial Group has a strong management team in place, and the board has the utmost confidence in them under Brian’s leadership,” said Payne.
